Pumpkin Patch

All the kids had a really fun time at the pumpkin patch. It's so nice to see how close they are. They truly are good friends and love to be with each other. One day they will realize how lucky they are to have family so close. We love these family outings! After I took this picture I realized Isabel wasn't in it. I thought I counted right but only two of those children are mine.Right after I took the picture we saw her behind us by the fence. That is totally Isabel. She would rather be by herself doing her own thing.Poor Chad. He is still trying to catch up on sleep. You can totally see it in this picture. Since last Tuesday he has be at court in the day and working a grave yard shift at night. It's been great overtime but he has hardly slept this last week.Me and my baby. How sweet!Lily was a little under the weather. She woke up with not much of a voice and a cough that didn't sound too good. She was feeling a little better by the time we went. I guess this has been going around. Isabel missed a day of school about a week ago because of it.My very cute nieces Carrie and Taylor!
All six of us. I'm glad Chad was able to come. The girls and I have really missed him. Although he was on his laptop to and from the patch. Ahhh! Darn Reports!Katie picked a perfect pumpkin. Way to go Katie! Before we left I made them sit for one last picture. I know, sometimes I overdue it. They are just too darn cute ;)

Katie in Action!

I finally got a chance to video Kaitlyn during a soccer game. I almost missed the chance. Cleo slept through the whole game and we were right by the playground so Isabel and Lillian got to play. Kaitlyn played a very good game today. She loves being the goalie and has been for 3 years. The first video was in the third quarter and the other was in the last quarter. She was happy that she stopped the ball every time this game. Yeah for Kaitlyn!!!

Isabel's last game and Party!

Here is happy Isabel. Happy for many reasons. She was not that into soccer this year. We told her that she chose to play soccer so she must finish out the year and then decide what to do next year. I'm so glad it has come to an end. I feel bad about this but she was making me look like a really bad parent. I would say things like "Isabel, stop kicking air!" or "Stop playing with the dirt or picking the grass!". She would run the wrong way or twirl while looking at the sky. I just gave up because it was raising my blood pressure! I'm not saying all of this to put her down or to be mean. We have discussed this with her and it's just not her thing. She loves softball and is a wonderful dancer. She is a very talented girl but she has to be interested to do well. :) She is very easily bored.
We're very proud! Look at her standing there without a care in the world. If you can see the other two players are totally running in the opposite direction while Isabel is --- Oh honestly, I don't know what she is doing! We love her so much!!!
It was so funny when the coach was handing out the trophies. He was saying nice things about each player as he handed them out. When he got to Isabel he said "Now, who is the girl who counts every time she kicks the ball and one time yelled out that she kicked the ball 4 times?" Everyone shouts "Isabel!". Yep, that's right - totally bored!! She really likes her trophy though. We are really grateful for a very patient coach. He was really good with Isabel and always told her how good she was doing. The last game she did kick the ball 2 times!

I'm Tagged Again!

Thank you Heidi for tagging me and reminding me of this memory! The tag was to go into my picture file and find the 6th folder and post the 6th picture. This is the picture I found. As an
officer's wife, the thing I fear most is a phone call or knock at my door telling me that my husband is hurt or worse. Jen phoned me extremely early in the morning so I knew it was an important call. She told me that Chad had been in a car accident and she was coming over to watch the kids so I could get to the hospital. I can't believe it's been almost two years on December 2nd when Chad crashed his patrol car. He was responding to a collision on the freeway when the right rear tire blew out. I'm so glad he had slowed down from 115 mph prior to the blow out to 85mph before going into the center median and colliding with the cement divider. He slid against the divider for about 100 ft. before coming to rest. It's a blessing that the car didn't rollover because he thought it was. It was so scary. I'm just so grateful that Chad was OK. He had surgery about a year ago on his shoulder and has recovered nicely. It still gets sore from time to time but the more he exercises it the better it gets. He has always been a very motivated and determined person and that's something I love and admire about him. :)

I tag Aimee (are the rules clear?), Kristen, Jolene, Tara & Briana ;)

Happy Anniversary Daniel & Jolene!

My baby sister Jolene has been married for 5 years now! She is married to a great guy with two beautiful girls, Luana-3 and Leah-5 months. All of us girls got married in October so it is a busy month for anniversaries. I know these last few months have been a little crazy for Jolene since Daniel is in Utah and she is here in California. She told me that Daniel will be coming next weekend to celebrate. Yeah for them! I hope you enjoy these pictures. I posted some of my favorites. :)

Aimee, this one is for you! I hope I didn't look stupid catching Jolene's boquet when I was already married with baby #3 on the way. You're Welcome! :)

Ten Years!!!

Chad and I have now been married for 10 years! I thought it would be fun to tell the story of how we met. Chad came in my life when I really needed him most. I was 19 and dealing with the loss of one of my best friends. After that I sent a boy on a mission that I had dated for 2 years. I started going to institute because I was told it would be good for me. I took that advise and one Thursday Chad came to visit a friend who was teaching the class that day. I will never forget his smile. How could you miss it. After class I parted all the girls around Chad and walked towards him. I really don't know to this day where I got the courage. I somehow invited him to a pool party at my house for my friend Landon who was leaving on a mission. I think I said a few other stupid things and figured he would be a no show. I'm good at talking too much and not knowing when to shut my mouth. I remember coming home and telling my mom what I did and that I met the man that I am going to marry. She said "OK. What's his name?" I said "I don't know. I forgot to ask." That was so typical of me. So busy talking and not listening. But I don't think my mother doubted me for one minute. The next day at the party one of my friends came to me and said that Chad is coming. I was confused because I didn't know who Chad was until she pointed to the car driving down my street. I freaked out and ran across the street because we were playing volleyball at my other BF's Katie's house. I went into my bedroom and changed my clothes and then I quickly ran back to playing volleyball. Chad joined the the boys team. It was my turn to serve. One thing you must know. I had a mean serve. Chad wasn't aware of this. I said to myself "who will I marry?". I totally hit Chad right in the head. It was great and then I felt bad and then great again because of what I had just thought. After that we all had fun swimming and soaking in the spa and Chad and I had time to talk and I think I finally listened. Saturday was a beach party in Oceanside so Katie and I decided to go. I was happy to see that Chad was there and again surrounded by his admirrors. Katie and I were having a nice time talking and soaking up the sun when Chad casually walks by and tells me he's going to be taking a walk by the rocks. Katie elbows me and asks me why I'm not following him. I guess I'm a bit slow but I thank Katie every day for that. Of course I then yelled out for Chad to wait for me. He stopped so I could catch up. It's a movie moment I will never forget. We walked to where nobody was and sat on the rocks and talked. I finally learned his last name. I know, slow. I had to make sure Jackie Williams sounded good! :) That Sunday was Landon's farwell at church so I invited Chad to come along. He picked me up at my house wearing sandals with socks because he burned his feet. It was hard not to laugh. It wasn't until Tuesday that I decided to kiss him for the very first time. I knew at that moment that I will be kissing him for eternity. It was a moment I will never forget. I remember dating Chad for about two weeks when we were driving home from a church activity. I looked over at him and said "I have something to tell you but you have to promise me you will not freak out." He said "ok" and then I said "I know I am going to marry you." I felt the car lose control and then recover. I heard a quiet "ok". I thought that was the end of him. How wrong I was. Four weeks later we went to the San Diego Temple with the young adults and he proposed on the lawn in front of everyone. It was the best day of my life. Four and a half months later we were married in the San Diego Temple. Now after ten years, I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who I love very much and four beautiful daughters. We have a great marriage and I am lucky that he is my eternal companion. Happy Anniversary Chad. I love you!

Happy Birthday to a "Big Boy"!

WOW 31!!!!! You're younger than me, but I will always be better looking than you! You might think you make the uniform look good, but I make it look OUTSTANDING!!!!! Happy B-Day EEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCC you nimble nut!

Britt's Birthday

Today is also a day to remember Britt's birthday. She would have been turning 29 years old. It was so perfect to be able to be married to Chad on her birthday. It made the day that much more special and I'm grateful for that. I love that picture I took of Britt because she looked so carefree and I remember having so much fun that day. She said she was posing like a model. I'm sure Katie remembers this. I found her picture too! I think I purposely lost mine!

My Bumbo Baby!

Cleo was just so darn cute when we sat her in her Bumbo yesterday. She wasn't doing a whole lot in it but at least she wasn't screaming or anything. I was afraid she would hate it like she does the swing most of the time! (although the other day she fell asleep for like an hour and it was so nice). My friend Desiree gave me the Bumbo which originally came from Tara. That's what Tara wanted to happen and it worked out perfect. Cleo is now three months old and is at the stage where she holds her head up really well and is ready for the Bumbo. Yes Jolene, I called it the right name. A few months ago, I told her she should buy Leah a Bimbo. Close enough!!!She looks so relaxed. I hope to get more cleaning done now. I want my clean house back! Cleo is way more high maintance than the others were. I had a feeling that this would happen but she is
a sweetheart and she sleeps through the night so that's a blessing! :)

Happy Birthday Ry!

My Nephew Ryan dosn't look like this anymore! :( He is now turning eleven years old. I can't believe I just typed that. He now goes to Middle School and I'm sure he's very happy to finally be riding a bus.
Ry, I remember being so excited to finally be an Aunt. You were so cute and cuddly. Just look at those sweet pictures. You were so loved. Now look at you all grown up. I'm so proud of you and all of your achievements every year. I love you very much and I hope you have a wonderful birthday. XOXO

Happy Anniversary Tom & Jaime!

Thirteen Years!!! Can you believe it's been that long? Congratulations you two. Chad wanted me to make this picture a guessing game. Like what does the number 13 represent? Is it: A. How old Tom is in the picture. B. How much older Jaime is than Tom (sorry Jaime). C. How long they have been married. Or is it D. Tom's B.A.C. level of 0.13% at the time of the wedding? Ha Ha! We love you guys and hope you have a wonderful anniversary.

Dance! Dance! Dance!

I just got my girl's dance pictures that were taken in June. I thought they turned out really cute. We decided not to put them in dance this year. With having a new baby, we needed to cut some activities. It was a hard choice to make but I am grateful for very understanding children. They are very talented dancers and I enjoyed watching them and I'm sure they will dance again.:)
It's nice to get a group picture of my girls. I guess it won't be complete until one day I see four little tappers in a row. It will be so sweet!
This year the theme for the recital was Fractured Mother Goose (nursery rhymes) for the recital so Katie's class was the children in the shoe. She also did a dance called "I Won't Grow Up" which was so far from the truth. I don't know how many of your eight year olds ask when they will be driving. Don't they realize how good they have it?
Isabel was the sheep in her class which was so cute. Then they wore this costume to do a dance called "Good Morning".
Lily did the cutest dance. All the girls were screaming the song. It was so funny. The song was called "Ma He's Making Eyes at Me".
Katie danced her recital on Saturday June 21st. Isabel and Lillian danced on Friday June 20th. Every year we give them flowers after their performances and this year was no exception. They look forward to them. When they get home they like to put their boquets together to form a big one. What they don't know is that is how it origionally was. We save money that way!
So Sweet!
Carrie and Taylor dance too. They were in the same classes with Katie and Isabel. I know they miss dancing together this year. :(
